Privacy Policy

Eighty Six (“we”, “us”) makes bartender tools for cocktail specs, batching, menus, and costing — as an iPhone app and as a free browser calculator at www.86calc.com. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Recipe and menu data you enter. On the iPhone app, specs and menus are stored on your device. On the website calculator, recipes can be saved in your browser’s local storage on that device.
• Optional account data (website). If you create an account on the web product, we store the email and authentication details needed to sign you in, plus any library data you choose to sync to your account.
• Purchases (iPhone app). In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We receive entitlement status (whether Pro is unlocked) so gated features work. We do not receive your full payment card details.
• Product analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics (for example PostHog or Vercel Analytics) to understand which pages and features are used. This is not used to build advertising profiles.
• Support email. If you write to us, we keep the message and your address long enough to reply.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your recipe library for advertising targeting.
• We do not require an account to try the free browser calculator.

Third parties

Depending on which product you use, processing may involve Apple (App Store / StoreKit), hosting and analytics providers (such as Vercel), authentication or database providers used by the website, and email delivery for support replies. Each provider processes data under their own terms for the purpose of running Eighty Six.

Retention

Device-local data stays until you delete it or clear the app / browser storage. Account data on the website stays until you delete your account or ask us to remove it. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you.

Your choices

• Delete recipes and menus in the app or browser at any time.
• Clear website local data by clearing site data for this domain in your browser.
• Contact us to request deletion of account or support records: feedback@eightysix.app.

Children

Eighty Six is aimed at working bartenders and bar operators. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product grows. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
